The Ritual Set

Step 1- Sift

Place 1–2 scoops of matcha into the sieve over your bowl and gently tap it through to remove clumps.

Fun fact: we have first harvest matcha, it’s ground so fine you’ll notice fewer clumps than with most matcha but using the sieve is a lovely action to honour the mindful Japanese Tradition

Step 2 - Add Water (Uisce)

Pour a splash of hot water (70–80°C, never boiling) over the matcha.

Step 3- Whisk

Whisk briskly, in a W Motion ( or N or M we don't judge your spelling) Quick strokes build a fine froth, which brings out matcha's smooth texture and balanced taste.

Step4 - Enjoy

Hold the bowl with both hands and take your first sip slowly. The rounded Chawan softens the taste, but more importantly, its a pause, a way to return to yourself. you can also enjoy your matcha as a latte, iced, or in your own way. However you choose, this is the moment the ritual becomes yours.
